“AN EVENING WITH VICTOR VICTORIA” AT LIPS WAS A “HOT” TICKET TO BENEFIT NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS

Lips, the ultimate in drag dining, presented its very own “Vegas” style drag show “An Evening with Victor Victoria” to benefit Neighbors 4 Neighbors on Wed., Nov. 12. This exclusive fundraiser, raising more than $18,000, was a night of many stars with impersonations of Tina Turner, Katy Perry, Ru Paul, Adele and Nicki Minaj, plus the role reversal stage debut of event chairs: Keith Backer, Betsi Kassebaum, Doug Kinzer, Joanne Silva and Max Tucci.

“An Evening with Victor Victoria” delivered all the glitz and glam that people flock to see at Lips six nights a week. Attendees danced and sang along with the ladies of Lips in support of Neighbors 4 Neighbors, which is currently promoting its Adopt A Family 4 the Holidays initiative to pair those who can give with those in need. The exclusive show included an exciting reveal of the event chairs in a choreographed opening stage number, plus two other encore performances.

Guests of Lips’ “An Evening with Victor Victoria” enjoyed the exclusive female impersonator show, a delicious three-course meal with complimentary glasses of wine and Lips’ signature frozen cosmos. A limited number of VIP guests were treated to a champagne reception with a meet and greet with the dynamic cast of Lips.

“We are excited to once again present this entertaining night to benefit Neighbors 4 Neighbors,” said Lynne Cameron, executive director at Neighbors 4 Neighbors. “We are grateful to Lips for supporting the mission of Neighbors 4 Neighbors, and we encourage other individuals and businesses to join us in giving families in need a special holiday.”

Proceeds from ticket sales directly benefited Neighbors 4 Neighbors, which was created in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew, in partnership with WFOR Television (then WCIX). N4N has connected those in need with those who can help for the past 21 years. Using a combination of resource development, collaboration with service providers and the power of media, they empower our neighbors to use the talents, time and money they have to help others. In the process, they find, as do others, that “Helping Feels Good.”

“We are proud to once again support the mission of Neighbors 4 Neighbors,” said Yvonne Lamé, Lips founder and co-owner. “Lips is the perfect celebration place and it gives us great pleasure to help them raise more than $18,000.”
