Evening Featured La Croix Mock-Tails and Bites from BRIO Tuscan Grille
Who/What:
On January 27 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., MADD Broward County kicked off the 2016 La Croix Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K presented by ADT brought to you by Ultimate Software with a fun, uplifting and meaningful party at ArtServe in Fort Lauderdale. The event featured delicious bites by BRIO Tuscan Grille Plantation, mocktails by LaCroix and ice cream by Artica.
In addition, keynote speaker Steven Benvenisti provided an inspirational message about the dangers of drinking and driving. Benvenisti is a partner at the law firm of Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., located in New Jersey. He is an advocate for those injured by intoxicated drivers, as well as those suffering catastrophic injuries including brain and spinal cord injuries.

The Sixth Annual La Croix Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K presented by ADT brought to you by Ultimate Software, will take place on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Huizenga Plaza in Fort Lauderdale. More than 2,000 walkers and runners are expected to attend the event, for which Broward Sheriff Scott Israel is the honorary chair. Co-Chairs are Heather Geronemus and Col. Alvin Pollock of the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Since it was launched in 2011, the annual La Croix Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K presented by ADT brought to you by Ultimate Software has raised more than $750,000.
Featuring the slogan “Drunk Driving Ends Here,” the walk encourages people to literally take steps to end drunk driving. MADD recently launched its first-ever tagline: “No More Victims.”
