20th ANNUAL CELEBRITY CHEFS RAISES OVER $330,000 FOR THE ANN STORCK CENTER Held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

20th Annual Platinum Celebration

Hundreds of guests were once again amazed by the culinary talents of some of the finest chefs in South Florida at the Ann Storck Center’s 20th Annual Celebrity Chefs Food Tasting & Auction, held on Friday, September 27th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

This year, a record breaking 600 guests helped the Ann Storck Center raise over $330,000 under the direction of the host committee: Charlotte Mather-Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of the Ann Storck Center, Roz Perlmutter, Susan Renneisen, Doris Sipos, Marge Osceola and Joan Ast.

A wide variety of renowned restaurants and food service companies dazzled the crowd with their culinary creativity. They included:  Abe & Louie’s, Aruba Beach Café, Bamboo Noah’s, Blue Bell Creameries, Bob Roth’s New River Groves, D’Angelo, Chef Elisa’s Catering, Dapur, Deli Gourmet Events, Fusion Latin Cuisine, Hard Rock Café, Kitchen 305, Lima 51, Martorano’s Restaurant, Mimi’s Ravioli, Oceans 234, Peter Pan Diner, Sardelli Italian Steakhouse, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Banquet Cuisine, Tastebuds Catering, Thasos Greek Taverna, The Sweet Girls Shop, Timpano Italian Chophouse and Tokyo Blue.

Guests dined at elegantly appointed tables, music by Victor Espinola amidst imaginative and fanciful décor, including one-of-a-kind, hand embellished electric guitar centerpieces created by Ann Storck Center artists. These sought after guitars were purchased for $100 each, with all proceeds directly benefitting the Ann Storck Center.

A variety of top-notch luxury silent auction items included vacation packages, jewelry, sports items, autographed memorabilia and eye popping massive, professionally decorated gift baskets.

Later in the evening host committee members Roz Perlmutter and Susan Renneisen led their unique live auction called “Bids for Kids” that encouraged guests to make a difference by sponsoring a child attending the Ann Storck Center’s Preschool. Over $49,000 was raised at this auction.

During “Bids for Kids” Perlmutter showed the audience a picture of a torn and weathered outdoor canopy in need of replacement at the Ann Storck Center Pre-School. Without hesitation, Chris Osceola from the Seminole Tribe donated $20,000 to build a brand new Chickee Hut.

“We are so grateful to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the chefs and the hundreds of people who participated in this spectacular event to help the Ann Storck Center raise vital funds for the important services we provide.  Their commitment to our Mission ensures we carry out the hopes and dreams of our late Chairman of the Board Marvin Gutter,” said Mather-Taylor.

“We also want to thank our media partners for their time and generosity,” she added. Media sponsors for the Ann Storck Center’s 20th Annual Celebrity Chefs Food Tasting & Auction included Eyes on News, Eye On South Florida, Around Town Magazine, Neighbors 4 Neighbors and Davie Town News.
