Art and Culture Center/Hollywood raises nearly $60,000 during the 21st Annual Cuisine for Art on April 26 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood celebrated the 21st Annual Cuisine for Art fundraiser held at the newly constructed Event Center at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Thursday, April 26, 2018. The event raised nearly $60,000 for the Center’s arts programs. The Center was the first nonprofit to have an event in this new space. This year’s honoree was Ina Lee, the owner of TravelHost Magazine of Greater Fort Lauderdale.

Over 250 guests attended the event, which featured performances by the Dale Powers Band, Maria DeCrescenzo, and a special tribute performance by Michael Dean as “Cher.” Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, followed by a three-course dinner and auction items such as a ride aboard the world-famous Goodyear Blimp, two 5-course dinner parties complete with wine for six people catered by Anthony Billisi of Mimi’s Ravioli himself, incredible vacation packages and hotel stays, and more.

Cuisine for Art features elected officials and community leaders serving as Celebrity Waiters during an exciting and entertaining evening.

Ina Lee’s TravelHost Magazine Greater Fort Lauderdale edition, which was created in 1980, is considered the best TravelHost in the country, out of 56 markets. Ina founded and chaired for seven years the Beach Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and played a major role in the transformation of Fort Lauderdale Beach. She was recently honored as Tourism Icon on the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Walk of Fame, and in 2014 was awarded the Broward Days Advocate of the Year for her work on beach re-nourishment.
