On October 4, 2019, Capital Grille Ft Lauderdale at the Galleria Mall (2430 East Sunrise Blvd ) Pinion kicked off their annual membership luncheon. This luncheon, which starts the social year for Pinion, was chaired by Lisa Scott Founds, Lee Sheffield, Kim Butler and Alice Harry.

Game of Thrones was this years theme 

The battle for the throne was supported by an amazing team of warriors. The Chairs were assisted by Anne Allen, Gwen Cook, Barbara Corrao, Kathy Keleher, Sonya Mayo, Patricia Kearson.

The event started at 11:00 am with a cocktail hour followed by a luncheon and auction from noon – 2:00 pm.

Guests arrived and were presented with the opportunity to sit on the throne, graciously donated by Sixth Star Entertainment. For added drama, the pictures were completed with swords and daggers donated by Costumes Etc. The chairs of the event were dressed in royal robes & jewels, also donated by Costumes Etc.

This year’s luncheon featured ta Chinese Auction in addition to a trivia game of “Game or Throne”.

The live auction showcased 2 pairs of tickets to the Winterfest Boat Parade Grand Marshall Reception & a 25 person cocktail party at Capita Grille.

Captain Lee of Below Deck, along with his lovely wife Maryanne lent their support to this great cause.  

As the guests entered the Restaurant they were offered goblets of “Dragons Blood “. The goblets were graciously donated by Tommy Hartman. The cocktail, which had dry ice “smoke” billowing from it was created by  Capital Grille.

All the Wine and the vodka for the Dragons Blood cocktails was provided by Republic National Distributors. 

The event raised over $11000 for Pinion- Special Olympics.  

All proceeds directly support Special Olympics Broward County to help these very special athletes’ dreams come true.
