Kids in Distress – ANNUAL COOKING WITH KID EVENT

BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS COME TOGETHER TO EMPOWER CHILDREN FROM KIDS IN DISTRESS SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM AT ANNUAL COOKING WITH KID EVENT

On Wednesday, June 12, leaders throughout the South Florida community invested in the lives of KID Summer Camp children at Kids In Distress annual Cooking with KID event. Each leader was paired one-on-one with a child to help prepare a meal in Silver Lining Inflight Catering’s kitchen. The menu included chicken milanese, macaroni and cheese, scalloped potatoes, salad, and dessert. Needless to say, the inner chef exuded from each child.  After enjoying the meal they so lovingly prepared, each leader shared his/her own personal “Recipe For Success” with the whole group. Some of the key ingredients shared were to: be kind, respect others, dream big, always be the hardest worker in the room, believe in the power of positivity, and never be afraid to say “I don’t know.”  We want to give a special thank you to Silver Lining Inflight Catering for hosting the event and to all of the leaders for coming and sharing in this special evening. They continue to make KIDpossible!
