ARC Broward’s “Delish 2015 – Broward vs Miami-Dade” Presented by PNC Bank Raises
More Than $140,000 to Support Services for Individuals with Disabilities

ARC Broward, a not-for-profit human services organization dedicated to providing services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and various life challenges, hosted its fourth-annual fundraising event—Delish 2015, presented by PNC Bank. More than 500 guests enjoyed the sold-out culinary extravaganza held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Young At Art Museum. Touché Executive Chef and Top Chef star Carla Pellegrino served as honorary chair, and CBS Miami’s “Taste of the Town” host Lisa Petrillo served as emcee of this year’s event which celebrated the success of the ARC Broward Culinary Institute.

Guests enjoyed an evening of gourmet treats, refreshing cocktails, dancing, a silent auction, the imaginative art collections featured at Young At Art Museum and much more. Along with Pellegrino and Petrillo, a panel of esteemed food bloggers judged the different cooking stations which showcased the culinary creations of local chefs paired with ARC Broward’s graduates. Attendees also had the opportunity to select the winning dish by casting their votes via their mobile devices. This year’s Delish theme, “Broward vs Miami-Dade,” featured a faceoff between chefs competing for “Most Delish County.” All proceeds from the event will support critically-needed services for children and adults with developmental disabilities and those with various other life challenges. The winning chefs included: Chef Adrienne Grenier of 3030 Ocean for “Best Overall,” Chef Nuno Grullon of R House Wynwood for “Fan Favorite,” Chef Philip Darmon of Hardy Park Bistro for “Critic’s Choice,” and Broward was voted “Most Delish County,” which included: Chef Adrienne Grenier of 3030 Ocean, Chef Philip Darmon of Hardy Park Bistro, Chef Tom Azar of Lauderdale Yacht Club and Chef Andres Marin of the ARC Broward Culinary Institute.

Participating chefs included: Bravo TV Best New Restaurant Chef Nuno Grullon of R House Wynwood, Chopped Winner Chef Adrienne Grenier of 3030 Ocean, Chef Philip Darmon of Hardy Park Bistro, Chef Andres Marin of the ARC Broward Culinary Institute, Keli Schneider of Miami Meatballers, Chef Aaron Dreilinger of Chef David Catering, Chef Nuria Perez of Novecento, and Chef Tom Azar of Lauderdale Yacht Club.

ARC Broward’s Student Chef of the Year award was presented to ARC Broward graduate, Brandon Letourneau for his passion for the culinary arts, perseverance and excellent performance he displayed while completing ARC Broward’s Entry Level Culinary Arts Certificate Program over the past year.

The ARC Broward Culinary Institute offers a food service training certificate program for individuals with developmental disabilities and those with other life challenges. The ARC Broward Culinary Institute also includes a nonprofit catering service for students to obtain real world on-the-job training. Revenues generated from the catering services directly support job training, placement and student scholarships.
