ANDY’S 18TH ANNUAL FAMILY PASTA DINNER RAISES NEARLY $265,000 FOR LIFENET4FAMILIES
Andy’s 18th Annual Family Pasta Dinner, hosted by Andy Cagnetta, CEO of Transworld Business Advisors raised nearly $265,000 for LifeNet4Families, an organization dedicated to providing necessary food, ancillary services, and referrals to those in need in Broward County. Over 1000 guests attended the dinner on Sunday, February 16th at the Signature Grand in Davie; a record attendance since the first pasta dinner began 18 years ago. In 2003, Andy Cagnetta started with a simple idea to invite his friends and family to the LifeNet4Families center to share what great things they were doing for the community. His goal, to raise a little bit of money and have a nice dinner, turned into 18 years of bringing families together for a great cause, supporting LifeNet4Families.
During the event, guests were treated to an Italian-style pasta dinner. LifeNet4Families President/CEO Dr. Melanie Geddes spoke about LifeNet4Families vital services and the necessity of a system of care for individuals and families in Broward County. The passion and dedication began in 1985 and continues as LifeNet4Families works to reduce hunger, help clients regain or maintain stability through counseling, referrals, emergency financial assistance and more.
Each year, Andy’s Family Pasta Dinner recognizes Honorary Chefs for their efforts to better the South Florida community. The 2020 Honorary Chefs were Elliot Borkson, Leo Goodwin Foundation; Les Campbell, HJ Sims; Deborah Carmen, Carmen Law Firm; Lori Chevy, Bank of America; Al Evans, Downtown Photo; Marko Evans, Now Hiring You; Cory Hibbard, UFG/Transworld; Joel Kampeas, KM Wealth; Matt Katz, Katz Barron; Pam Moskowitz, Allied Kitchen & Bath; Yvette Roulette, OK Generators; Barry Sloane, Newtek; Julia Steiner, Write About Now; Robyn Vegas, BBX Capital and Business for the Arts of Broward; and Tammy Youst, Centennial Bank.

The Junior Chefs were sponsored this year by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The dinner also featured both silent and live auctions that contributed to the event’s impressive fundraising total.
