COMMUNITY CARE PLAN NON-PROFIT AWARDS

In trueawards show style, more than 700 executives, community leaders and members of the non-profit sector attended the sold-out 7thAnnual Community Care PlanNon-Profit Awards presented by Signature Grand and hosted by 2-1-1 Browardon Friday, February 24th.The Non-ProfitAwards celebrated the inspiring work of Broward County’s non-profit agencies and recognized the individual efforts of outstanding non-profit executive and board leaders, while raising $155,000 for 2-1-1 Broward.
The festivities began with a reception followed by a welcomefrom Sheila Smith, President & CEO of 2-1-1 Broward; and John Benz, President & CEO of Community Care Plan.After the welcome, emcees Evan Golden from Eye on South Florida and KavitaChanne began the awards ceremony.
During the Luncheon, the winners of each of the 10 award categories were announced, each receivingan award and $1,000 for their non-profit organization. The finalists in each category were awarded $500. Winners were chosen for their dedication to Broward County and the impact they have on the community.

The event chairs were Susan M. Mansolillo, Chief Human Resources Officer, Community Care Plan; Sandra Bernard-Bastien, Chief Communications Officer at Children’s Services Council of Broward County;and Jen Klaassens, President, Jen Klaassens Consulting.
Sealed envelopes with the winning organizations and leaders were secured and delivered by Berkowitz Pollack & Brant Advisors and Accountants, the official accounting firm of the Non-Profit Awards.
