Symphony of the Americas Society – 30 Decades Celebration Luncheon

The Symphony of the Americas Society hosted a Three Decades Celebration Luncheon on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at The Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale.  This event was a tribute to Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese, the Symphony of the Americas Orchestra and its supporters, who have kept the music playing for the past thirty years and helped the Symphony achieve the status of a Major Cultural Institution in Broward County.

Included in this distinguished group are prominent individuals such as Rose Miniaci, Madelyn Savarick and Dr. Peter Babinski.  More than fifty Style & Substance Honorees walked the runway and received a “medal of honor” for their services to our Symphony and community.

The highlight of the afternoon was a performance by the Symphony Orchestra and included a special musical piece conducted by a long-time supporter, Joseph Amaturo.  George Gadson, famed artist, created a unique sculpture that was presented to past presidents and those who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and service to Symphony of the Americas.

The Three Decades Celebration Luncheon was Co-Chaired by Lisa Scott-Founds, David Founds, Paul Sallarulo and Johanne Marcoux.  The Luncheon began with a Champagne Reception and fabulous Silent Auction.  The Ritz Carlton served a three-course gourmet lunch accompanied by fine wines.  This event benefited the Symphony’s Educational and Outreach Programs, which touch the lives of over 35,000 people annually.

In its 31st Concert Season, the Symphony of the Americas continues to bring the best of classical music to South Florida, enriching the lives of audiences through the wonderful power of music.
