VICTOR VICTORIA AT LIPS FORT LAUDERDALE   RETURNED

WITH THE ROLE REVERSALS OF 5 LEADING MEN BENEFITING

NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS RAISED $33,117.00  A record.

Lips, the ultimate in drag dining, hosted its annual “Victor Victoria” featuring the role reversal and stage debut of David Dunn, Michael Berry, Robert Dearstine, Michael Goodman, and Michael Murphy on Thursday, October 10. This amazingly successful fundraiser benefited  Neighbors 4 Neighbors.

Austin Bergman (LauderdaleONE Luxury Real Estate Agent), Michael Berry (Director of Operations at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina), Robert Dearstine (Director of Marketing at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek), Michael Goodman (Founder of Goodman Public Relations), and Michael Murphy (Owner of Michael Murphy Photographic Studio & Gallery), took on new personas as the ladies of Lips recreated them into pop stars for this one of a kind charitable event. The Lips show-stopping night of entertainment included a special performance by each of the business and community leaders.

“There is a significant need to connect those in need with those who can help,” said Lynne Cameron, executive director at Neighbors 4 Neighbors. “We applaud our special guest performers for their spirit of giving and Lips for their continued support of our mission.”

Guests enjoyed a VIP champagne reception followed by priority seating at the show and a delectable three-course dinner with one cocktail for $100. A three-course dinner and show ticket was also available for $75. Price per person included tax and gratuity plus complimentary valet parking.

Friends, family and supporters  purchased seats and cast their votes for their favorite guest performers (Austin Bergman, Michael Berry, Robert Dearstine, Michael Goodman, and Michael Murphy) at www.blacktie-southflorida.com. These donations and ticket sales directly benefited Neighbors 4 Neighbors, which was created in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew by WFOR Television (then WCIX). Using a combination of resource development, collaboration with service providers and the power of media, they empower our neighbors to use the talents, time and money they have to help others. In the process, they find, as do others, that “Helping Feels Good.”

“Lips is honored to support the mission of Neighbors 4 Neighbors which is recognized for doing such good work in the community,” said Yvonne Lamé, Lips founder and co-owner. “Soon to be celebrating our 12th anniversary, we are grateful to be able to support a variety of worthy causes thanks to so many loyal Lips fans.”
