Princess’ and Pirates of Pinion

On October 2, 2014,Capital Grille Ft Lauderdale at the Galleria Mall (2430 East Sunrise Blvd ) was surrounded by swash buckling Pirates and tiara adorned Princesses as Pinion kicked off their annual membership luncheon.

The committee chairs Lisa Scott Founds, Lee Sheffield, Kitty McGowan and Alice Harryalways promise an adventurous lunch. They delivered again this time!

The event started at 11:00 am with a cocktail hour followed by a luncheon and silent auction from noon – 2:00 pm.The event raised over $6,000 through tickets sales and a Chinese and Live Auction. All proceeds directly support Special Olympics Broward County to help these very special athletes’ dreams come true. With a theme of Princess’ and Pirates of Pinion, guests were able embrace to their inner Buccaneer or Fairytale Royalty.

As guests arrived they were offered “Cannonball” shots. The “Cannonball” shots were provided by Republic Distributors and Princess Martinis made with 360 Vodka, Lemonade & pureed peaches, supplied by Ken Burnette!

Cinderella and Captain Jack Sparrow were on hand for photo opportunities.

Capital Grille provided the guests with an amazing lunch which was complimented by wine that was also provided by Republic Distributors.

This event is the start of Pinions fundraising year. It always draws over a 100 guests to this event. This year was no exception

Through successful fundraising efforts, Pinion has given Special Olympics Broward County the opportunity to do more for these special athletes year-round.
