THE GALLERIA’S 11TH ANNUAL SOUTH FLORIDA FORD MEN OF STYLE RAISES MORE THAN $82,000 IN SUPPORT OF LOCAL CHARITIES

As many as 1,000 of Broward’s finest business and community leaders came together in support for The Galleria’s South Florida Ford Men of Style presented by Signature Grand and Orchard Supply Hardware. The evening of food, fashion and fun recognized 12 prominent South Florida men, each representing one of 12 participating charities: Anthony Abbate (ArtServe), Dr. Shino Bay Aguilera (HANDY), Whitney Dutton (Broward Center for the Performing Arts), Luke Freeman (Leadership Broward Foundation), Josiah Graham (Jack & Jill Children’s Center), Jonathan Keith (Henderson Behavioral Health), Scott Kennedy (Women In Distress of Broward County), George Kress (Florida Children’s Theatre), Major Nathan Osgood (Kids In Distress), Barry Romeril (Take Stock in Children of Broward County), Tom Shea (Arc Broward) and Ben Wesley (Art and Culture Center/Hollywood).

“We are grateful for the overwhelming and continued support of our signature event, which garnered breaking attendance and more than $82,000 raised for local charities,” said Melissa Milroy, senior marketing manager at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. “The Galleria is a staple in the community and we look forward to hosting this fabulous event and others for years to come.”

VIP guests started the evening at Truluck’s for a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception. The Galleria transformed the east end of the mall with acrobats, photo stations, lounge areas and a plethora of food stations serving culinary delights and premium bar selections. The fine roster of participating food and beverage sponsors were from The Capital Grille, Truluck’s, Blue Martini, Pier 66, Ocean 2000, Arc Broward Culinary Institute, Farm to Fork, The Mermaid Bar at Neiman Marcus, Cucina Caruso Italian Market, Il Mulino, Cookies by Design, GALLERYone Doubletree, Tito’s Homemade Vodka, Godiva Chocolatier, Sweeter Days Bake Shop and BurgerFi, plus live musical entertainment.

The highlight of the evening was the high energy men’s runway fashion show hosted by WSVN news anchor Diana Diaz. The entertaining show featured the 2017 Men of Style honorees and professional models showcasing the latest winter trends from Dillard’s and Macy’s.

Event attendees received the exclusive Men of Style Shopping Night “Passport to Savings,” featuring store incentives valued at far more than the cost of the event ticket from select mall retailers and restaurants.

Event sponsors and contributors included South Florida Ford as Title Sponsor and Signature Grand and Orchard Supply Hardware as presenting sponsors, along with Macy’s, Dillard’s, GPR | Goodman Public Relations, CBI, City & Shore Magazine and WSVN-TV.
