15TH ANNUAL IMPRESSIONS: A JURIED ART EXHIBIT
OPENING RECEPTION A SUCCESS!

On Thursday, March 5, 2015 150 guests, including 55 artists, enjoyed an evening of fine art, fine food and an array of music to celebrate the opening of the 15th Annual Impressions: A Juried Art Exhibit. To date this event has raised over $30,000 to benefit Bonnet House.

Bonnet House inspired Rangpur lime cocktails were offered as guests entered the Carl Weinhardt Gallery to view the juried art exhibit. On exiting the gallery, guests enjoyed various gourmet food stations on the veranda under a magnificent canopy with views of Bonnet House. The South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble enhanced the dining experience with a variety of light classical favorites.

This year’s sponsors of Impressions include the Hudson Family Foundation, PL&P Advertising, Tripp Scott, Victoria Park Flower Studio and EDSA. All sponsors and guests who purchased a VIP level ticket were treated to a special tour of the upstairs living quarters of the Bartletts during an exclusive reception held prior to the event.

Over 100 entries were considered by juror, Irvin Lippman, with 61 pieces selected for exhibit by 55 artists. The winning art was selected by Mr. Lippman just prior to the opening. Ninety-six year old Nella McNally is the First Place winner with her oil painting Caribbean Gothic with Afghanistan. Barbara Dix is the Second Place winner with Great Balls of Fire, a pastel painting. Third Place was awarded to Sandy Diolan for Courtyard Orchid, a photograph. Diane Delorey is the People’s Choice winner for Flight of the Flamingos, an oil painting.

The Carl Weinhardt Gallery at Bonnet House is the location of the exhibit which runs through May 3, 2015. Fifty percent of all art sales benefit Bonnet House. The exhibit may be seen on all regularly scheduled tours of Bonnet House. For information call (954) 703-2614 or go to www.bonnethouse.org.
