“Glam Air” Raises Nearly $20,000 for the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood

More than 200 people experienced the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s Sixth Annual Hot Hollywood “Glam Air: Flight 1975” fund-raiser held at the Center on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Guests enjoyed delicious food by Artisan Foods and sipped cool libations compliments of Southern Wine & Spirits while enjoying five contemporary art exhibitions, including a special engagement photography show in the main gallery featuring the works of critically acclaimed artist Francie Bishop Good. The evening also featured a fashion show of unique balloon couture by artist Carmen Ballering; a scrumptious dessert bar compliments of Brio Tuscan Grille and Luca Bella; Body and Soul Dance Theatre dancers; music by Sound Event DJs; and one-of-a-kind silent auction items. The Center also recognized Starwood Hotels and Resorts Area Managing Director Mark Kukulski and Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa General Manager Ed Walls for their dedication to the Center, the arts, and the South Florida community. Nearly $20,000 was raised from this event.

Event Chair was Gerard Nadeau.

“Our galleries were transformed into an ‘airport lounge’ in the year 1975, the same year the Center was founded,” says Center Executive Director Joy Satterlee. “Guests had a great time while raising money for our arts programs. We look forward to seeing everyone back next year at the Seventh Annual Hot Hollywood Glam.”

The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood presents contemporary gallery exhibitions, live stage performances and high-quality education programs for adults and children. The Center fosters a creative environment where new and challenging work can flourish through programs that reflect the highest standards of artistry and diversity.
