18th Annual Cuisine for Art Fundraiser Raised a Record of nearly $60,000 for the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood

The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood raised almost $60,000, the most ever raised by the Annual Cuisine for Art fundraiser, which was held on Friday, May 15 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. This year’s event honored Alberto Ibargüen and Dennis Scholl of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation for their contributions to the arts in South Florida. The Knight Foundation has significantly invested in hundreds of cultural arts organizations nationwide, including the Art and Culture Center, through its annual Knight Arts Challenge,

Almost 300 guests attended the event, which featured a cocktail reception and auction items such as a ride aboard the world famous Goodyear Blimp, incredible vacation packages, beautiful gift baskets, and more. This year’s emcees were Jacey Birch, Local 10 new anchor, and Trent Aric, Local 10 meteorologist.

An exciting lineup of live entertainment pumped up the crowd as they enjoyed drinks and a filet mignon and roasted salmon dinner. Performing were teenage rock-cello siblings Emil and Dariel, who was seen recently on America’s Got Talent; 12-year-old singer, composer and violinist Biana Pinchuk; DJ Slim Rok of Rock With U Entertainment; and Salvador Live, the “world’s most dynamic speed painter,” who painted a portrait of the Beatles as the guests watched and listened to a Beatles medley.
