Ann Storck Center’s 7th Annual Rock the Race was the Derby soiree to be at in South Florida on race day! Hosted by Passion Nightclub at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Rock The Race raised over $50,000 to support Ann Storck Center’s mission to serve individuals with developmental disabilities.

 
Guests celebrated the 141st “Run for the Roses” sampling and savoring the palatable selections provided by some of South Florida’s best restaurants and caterers while sipping Triple Crown Whiskey Mint Juleps, Arnold Palmer’s made with Dillons Vodka, and Blue Martini’s signature martini cocktails. A live DJ, open bar, silent auction and raffle kept the excitement going until the race began and American Pharoah crossed the finish line.

 
Fashion forward party goers mixed and mingled wearing their best derby fashions. Five celebrity judges were on hand to select the Best Dressed, Best Hat and Best Bow Tie. Winners for Best Dressed went to Clinton Perkins and Lindsay Lehn with Nithin Nayak winning Best Bow Tie and Erika Kriger winning Best Hat. Best Dressed winners were crowned the King & Queen of the Derby and will be welcomed back at next year’s event to crown their successors. Winners received a Hoffman’s Chocolate Basket and a Hotel Gift Card from Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

 
The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass raffled off the Ultimate Shopping Experience for up to 10 guests complete with a Mercedes-Benz Shuttle, gift bags, complimentary lunch at P.F. Changs and a designer handbag of choice. Laura Brill from 954Design was the lucky raffle winner walking away with a white Tory Burch handbag and a certificate to enjoy a day at Colonnade Outlets!

 
“Rock The Race is a perfect opportunity to match the Kentucky Derby tradition with friends and philanthropy,” said Charlotte Mather , Ann Storck Center CEO. “The guests enjoyed the event and the money raised directly impacts the children and adults attending the Center’s Adult Day Training Program, Early Intervention Preschool, and Intermediate Care Facilities.”
