ANDY’S 15^TH ANNUAL FAMILY PASTA DINNER REACHES

$1 MILLION FUNDRAISING GOAL FOR LIFENET4FAMILIES0 P

Andy’s 15^th Annual Family Pasta Dinner raised over $200,000 to reach the organization’s goal of raising more than $1 million over its 15 year history for LifeNet4Families, an organization dedicated to providing necessary food, ancillary services and referrals to those in need in Broward County. More than 800 guests attended the dinner on Sunday, February 12^th at the Signature Grand in Davie.

During the event, LifeNet4Families President/CEO Melanie Geddes spoke about LifeNet4Families vital services and introduced Antoinette, a LifeNet4Families client who spoke about the assistance she and her family received from the organization following the economic decline in 2008.

Each year, Andy’s Family Pasta Dinner recognizes Honorary Chefs for their efforts to better the South Florida community.The 2017 Honorary Chefs were Joe Feinberg, Allied Kitchen and Bath; A.J. Titus, United Franchise Group; Cara Solimine Rhodes, Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust; Craig & Sam Eppy, The Eppy Group; Joel Martin, Joel Martin MD; Lois Marino, BBX Capital; Meredith Tucker, Kaufman Rossin; Randall Vitale, Hoffman’s Chocolates; Garrie Fanning, Bank of America; and Roy Krause.

In addition to recognizing the Honorary Chefs, the dinner also recognized Junior Chefs, South Florida youths who have achieved accomplishments in fundraising, community service and leadership. The Junior Chef component aims to promote family bonding by providing substantive activities for kids teaching them the importance of giving back to the community. Led by Carrie and Ken Weissenfeld, the Junior Chefs raised more than $62,000 this year.

Andy’s 15^th Annual Family Pasta Dinner featured both silent and live auctions that contributed to the event’s impressive fundraising total. Guests were also treated to an Italian-style pasta dinner.
